![]() ![]() Also, the battery last less than half the 908. But it is not BT, I believe, and I think they don't have a BT dongle for that, but I could be wrong. Entry price is about 640$ canadian + tax. But it is not as good since the hardware is stripped down. Well, you may want to look into the MP808. Good thing it was a demo, dude wanted us to to swap, so I just dropped it. As I said, I dropped one, corner broke right off. The launch, in my opinion, very dubious if mishandled. The unit and all attachements are still very usable for a 5yr old kit. My boss updated it for me this last month, so I am good, battery is still good and showing no sign yet of being a problem. ![]() My personal one, the third ne I wrote about above is my own. Ezxcept for the scope included in the elite kits we have at work. So, that was my, and no, I don't work for autel, I just like thier stuff. We have three at our shop right now, we won't even consider the launch. I have been using these scanners for years now, have not seen one back in for service, unless you drop a car on it. DO I need my autel scanner to text and call and look like a phone? No, I don't. The launch sells its thing as being like a cell phone, and it is. I also like the community aspect of it, since more ppl use it. Where I live, we get alot of bizarre cars, diesels and such, and every update I get from autel works, or they support in the very near futur. But if your only doing usa cars, no big deal. But the updates are more expensive because the autel actually does more vehicles. If money is not so much of an option, I would go autel. So, yes both will do key programming, getting the code is the problem, not the tools problem. ![]() If this is your main concern, google this. I would rather spend a few bones more to get better coverage, sturdy and quicker hardware.Īnd from what I know, neither of the scan tools you are looking for will get key codes just like that, you need a locksmith agreement for that. I dropped a launch, the corner cracked, my personal autel I can bounce off the ground and it basically almost bounces back in my hand. Last, but not least, since so many shops have been using widely the autel against the launch, many good deals to be had for a few bones on a older 908. I think the launch cpu quad core is 1.27ghz, while even the slowest autel runs at 1.4ghz quad core.Īgain, beware, some of the launches boast 1.3ghz, but on a 5.1 android os. I find it slow, probably due to it being slower than the autel. It feels like there is just another smart phone embroidered with a hard case I could buy at my local cell phone store. I also think the unit is flimsy and to hard cased. I also have used the newer version launch, it seemed slower even though it had android 7.1. I like autel, it just seems better suited for rough abuse than the launch. ![]() In the launch dept, I can't help much cuz I hated it from the first release more than a decade ago. ![]()
